Judy, what was the reasoning behind using Yolanda Adams version of Step Aside on the movie soundtrack. When I downloaded the song to my ipod, I couldn't help noticing that it sounded different in the movie. When I saw Yolanda Adams name on the cd, I just assumed she was the real singer and you were an actress lip-syncing for the church scene. Please forgive me--I don't listen to a lot of gospel, so up until then, I had never heard of you. But as I said, I heard the difference in the voice and in the delivery of the song and something just wasn't right so I went on-line and googled the entire cast of the movie and that's when I discovered the truth. My instincts were right. It was a different version and a different singer and that's how I found out about you. This is not to take anything away from Ms. Adams--she did a credible job, but Judy, I think whoever made the decision to use Yolanda's version on the cd made a huge mistake and did a real disservice to all the people who bought the soundtrack because they thought they were going to hear you. Yolanda sounded good but you sounded AWESOME!! I simply can't fathom why the change was made, Yolanda wasn't even in the movie. In any case, now I know who you are and I can't wait to buy the cd with you singing "Step Aside".

The song "Step Aside" was not on the cd version. I truly thought you were tremendous in singing that song. I saw in the play and you did some damage. I could see you were singing that song from your heart. I was disappointed when your version was not on the cd. If your version ever becomes available, I want it. Bless you my sister.

I REALLY want Judy's version of Step Aside in its entirety. It was truly disappointing NOT to have her version on the soundtrack.

I finally saw the version of you doing the whole song that was amazing. this is truly inspiring we say let God then again we insist on stepping in front of him, when all we need to do is STEP ASIDE AND OUT OF HIS WAY.

I just want to comment that I just purchased the daddy's little girls soundtrack specifically for the Step aside version from Judy Peterson. Now I just found out that the version on the cd is from Yolanda Adams. I am very disappointed. That Judy Peterson sung her butt off in that movie. I'm not a big Yolanda Adams fan. Not to say that Yolanda Adams can't sing, I just love the way step aside is sung by Judy Peterson. Ms. Peterson, please hurry and release your version of Step aside!!

I am glad toknow I am not the only one searching for the song "step aside" from "daddys little girls" I too rewind over and over just to hear the song. My husband is not saved but when he heard the song he wanted me to find it on cd. It is so annointed. I get goosebumps during that scene of the movie.
